The Dorset Raptor Study Group (DRSG) aims to further knowledge and protection of birds of prey and owls in the county of Dorset.
Some of the most familiar species suffering significant declines whilst other species are on the increase. Our studies help document these changes while adding to knowledge about the species.
Welcome to another exciting summer season of wild nature and look out for our blogs about our work on the wonderful, wild raptors of Dorset.
We hope very soon to share with you our live stream featuring live footage from a wild Eurasian hobby (Falco subbuteo) nest in southern England. We are working hard behind the scenes to make possible the annual magic that is a wild Hobby nest camera. Thanks for all your emails and chat on our Bluesky socials where you can also see some of the other work we have been doing.
In the meantime, we look forward to giving updates on the top stories this year, assisting and monitoring peregrines, a very interesting little owl family (exciting news coming), kestrels and buzzard. Plus some sorties north of the border for work on ospreys and more.
Do let us know what you see out in nature this summer. Please contact us directly with any Hobby records or sightings so any possible breeding sites can be treated as sensitive and confidential.
Live cameras are brought to you by Dorset Raptor Study Group and Wildlife Windows.
